Penguatan Literasi Digital untuk Mencegah Cyberbullying dan Pergaulan Bebas di Kalangan Remaja Pedesaan

Abstract

The rise of social media among teenagers brings both advantages in information access and risks such as cyberbullying and risky behavior, particularly in rural areas like Maros Regency. This community service activity focused on enhancing digital literacy among students of SMPN 7 Cenrana to help them navigate digital challenges wisely. The main goal was to equip students with knowledge of social media ethics, digital safety, and strategies to prevent negative behavior. The activity was carried out in three stages: preparation (through observation and interviews), implementation (interactive digital literacy seminars), and evaluation (pre-test and post-test). The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding of digital literacy, with the average post-test score increasing from 66.62 to 81.75. This initiative also encouraged active involvement from teachers and parents in fostering a safer and more responsible digital environment.
