Abstract

The rapid development of the digital industry has created various new career opportunities. However, it also demands that university students and recent graduates possess practical skills and a solid understanding of the professional working environment. One of the main challenges faced is the limited awareness among students regarding the realities of the digital industry, the gap between academic learning and professional practice, and effective strategies for entering the workforce. This community service activity focuses on assisting students in preparing for careers in the digital industry through a webinar program. The webinar aims to provide practical insights, motivation, and a comprehensive overview of industry expectations by engaging an industry practitioner as the speaker. The activity was conducted online via the Zoom Meeting platform, beginning with an introduction to the importance of career readiness in the digital era, followed by material presentation, interactive discussion, and a question-and-answer session. The results indicate that participants gained better understanding of the digital industry landscape, essential skills and professional mindset, as well as initial strategies for career planning. Participants also expressed strong enthusiasm and interest in participating in similar programs in the future. This activity is expected to serve as an effective model of community service in supporting student career readiness in the digital era.
